The Otto Community Development Organization thanks the Macon County Sheriff’s office and specifically Captain Clay Bryson, Lt. Nick Lofthouse, and their K-9 partners for the demonstration they gave at the July 1st potluck dinner meeting. We are fortunate to have dedicated teams like this providing such excellent service to Macon County. We think you will be impressed by seeing them in action it the video below.

Otto Community Development District Map

Riverside Park

Decades ago, before the current trash recycling areas or the 5 lane highway was constructed, public dumpsters available 24 /7 were located in this vicinity on Riverside Road.

The easy access to the river has made this area popular for many, many years.

It has also been badly neglected.

Now, thanks to an agreement between the county government and the private owner of this parcel of land, this area will undergo a transformation which will allow the public use of the river in a safe and clean environment the plans include improvements to the grading, fence construction, gravel and public safety.

Many of these improvements will be made during this year’s fall and winter seasons. These actions are the result of just one person in our community expressing an idea, an idea that will serve the people of Otto well for many years. Ideas are always welcome. Your ideas!

Otto Community Development will support this project. See images below:
